Internationally acclaimed opera legend, Frederica von Stade will be performing Feb. 25 at the Alameda Historic Theatre and Cineplex

Her appearance is part of the Alameda Free Library's Live@theLibrary performing arts series. Proceeds from the event benefit the library.

Cellist Emil Miland, a member of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra since 1988 and the Young Musicians Program will also perform.

Theatre doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $60 or for $70 at the door. The student price is $15 with identification.
