Alameda High PTSA Honors Teachers, Volunteers
High fives to the eight winners of the PTSA Honorary Service Awards!
The Alameda High PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) presented Honorary Service Awards to outstanding teachers and volunteers recently.
"Each recipient demonstrated exemplary service and dedication to Alameda’s youth," said Nancy Landreth, president of Alameda High School's PTSA
Faculty recipients were Karen Roemer, Media Center librarian; John Maiers, head counselor; Kelly Gregor, journalism teacher; Yong Joo, science teacher; and Michael Lamb, math teacher.
Peg Kofman, Merry Banks and Thu Hong-Nguyen received the volunteer awards.
“It is with much admiration that we honor these amazing individuals,” Landreth said. “They have gone above and beyond, and we are grateful for their commitment to education and youth.”
