Alameda's Grace Na Wins State Golf Championship
Na's storied career came to a memorable finish in Southern California on Tuesday.
Alameda High's Grace Na has long been one of the state's top junior golfers.
On Tuesday, she capped one of the best prep careers in state history by earning medalist honors at the California Girls State Golf Championship at Red Hill Country Club.
Na shot a 74 to edge both Esther lee of Los Alamitos and Briana Mao of St. Francis-Sacramento. The Hornets finished fourth place as a team with a five-golfer total of 425.
The Alameda senior's performance was certainly not suprising considering she placed third in the tournament as a freshman, 12th as a sophomore at Red Hill and fifth last year at Poppy Hills.
