A lecture for parents called "Food Allergies and Your Child" will be held Feb. 21 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Tot Tank in Alameda.

The speaker, Ruth Schrager, MPH, RD, is a Registered Dietitian who is also an Alameda mother. She has a background in clinical nutrition and public health and currently provides parent education for Alameda Head Start and other local organizations.

How unfortunate that this event cannot be free, as it excludes those parents who do not have the $10 to spare to be educated on this topic.
