Girls Inc. Teen Summit April 21 at South Shore
"Healthy Teens Inside and Out" is the focus of the summit for middle and high school girls
Girls Inc. of the Island City is hosting a free Teen Summit called "Healthy Teens Inside and Out" for middle and high school girls on April 21 at in Alameda.
The event will include guest speakers, workshops on teen issues, a luncheon, prize drawings and much more.

Author and Alameda native will speak at the event.
Teens will participate in small, interactive workshops on topics such as getting into college; body image and self-esteem; self-expression; healthy bodies and skin; everyday etiquette including online etiquette; interview skills; sexual health; Zumba and self-defense.

Registration for the all-day event is at 9:30 a.m. and the program starts at 10 a.m. It is open to all girls in middle and high school. You do not need to be a member of Girls Inc. to participate.
