Lend a helping hand and open your home to a Japanese high school student. The Tomodachi Program is seeking host families in the Alameda area to open their homes for the weekend of August 3-5.
More than 300 Japanese high school students, all of whom were affected by the earthquake, will be studying global leadership at UC Berkeley for three weeks. One of the highlights of the program is to stay with an American host family for the weekend of August 3-5.
All families are welcome - with children or without, single people, retirees, etc. To find out how you can host a student, please contact Vicki Bargagliotti at 510/731-8661 or vickibozzone@sbcglobal.net
