Kiwanis of Alameda CHILI COOK-OFF COMPETITION HEATS UP IN JANUARY
Kiwanis of Alameda’s 14th Annual Chili Cook-off and BBQ Dinner is slated for January 26th, 2013...It’s not just a chili contest where 12 teams vie for being named BEST IN ALAMEDA...It’s not just an all-you-can-eat BBQ dinner from Back Forty Texas Barbeque... It’s not just a glittering Silent Auction with over 80 items....
...There’s a $1 per ticket raffle to win an IPad, an IPad Mini or an IPod. Then there’s a DJ as well as Western line-dancing, and there’s entertainment from the award-winning Dance 10 performers.
The Cook-Off takes place at the” O” Club at Alameda Point, 641 Redline Ave. Doors,
no-host bar openand silent auction start at 5:30 p.m. Chili tasting is from 6-7pm. followed by dinner and entertainment.Tickets are $50, children 4-12 $25. All net proceeds are distributed by the Alameda Kiwanis Foundation to local non-profit organizations within the City.
