Girls Who Code starts a Club at Encinal High School

The national organization Girls Who Code is teaming up with Encinal High School's after school program Jetsetters to offer computer programming instruction to girls in 6th through 12th grade.

The free program which begins this Thursday, November 14th, offers girls the opportunity to learn computer programming from computer engineers in the industry.  No prior computer experience is necessary for enrolling.  It is a great way to introduce girls to the field of Computer Science.

The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that there will be 1.4 million new computer-related job openings over the next ten years. However, there is a shortage of skilled workers for these positions. Find out how you can get started on the path to a career in Computer Science.
