Adopt Clara This Weekend at "Big Dog Adoption Special"!

Each week, Alameda Patch will highlight an adoptable animal that's waiting at the FAAS Alameda Animal Shelter for a "forever home." Information is provided by Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS).

I'm Clara and I'm proud to say I'm a big dog! I like people a lot and really enjoy playing with my canine pals at FAAS. I've been at the shelter over a year now, and although I love all my friends here, it's time for me to find my forever home. There's no better time than this weekend when my adoption fee is only $50 and you get lots of goodies too!

Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) has some great dogs, cats, and kittens available for adoption. The shelter is open Wednesdays from 11AM - 7PM, and Thursdays-Sundays from 11AM - 5PM.

This weekend (May 4th and 5th) is Big Dog Adoption Special weekend with all dogs 50 pounds and over being adopted for $50. To adopt, you need to show proof of home ownership or if you rent, you'll need to bring your lease showing you can have a pet. You also need to bring all household members with you, including your dog(s) if you plan to adopt a dog.
