Representatives from Golden Gate Basset Rescue (GGBR) a non-profit which serves all of Northern California and parts of Nevada, will be available to answer your questions about these lovable dogs. People of all ages are welcome.
GGBR rescues Basset Hounds from abusive, abandoned and unwanted situations. It takes orphaned bassets into foster care, usually in volunteer homes, where they are loved and cared for until permanent, forever homes are found. The organization provides veterinary care, which includes necessary vaccinations, spaying and neutering, heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention.

The organization's hounds are microchipped with 24PetWatch.com microchips, and when adopted out come with 30 days gift insurance cover courtesy of ShelterCare.
Its volunteers spend time with the dogs to evaluate them, deal with any behavioral issues, and restore them to full health with good food and love.
Breed specific rescue groups like Golden Gate Basset Rescue assist traditional animal shelters by taking in and fostering dogs in volunteers' homes, thus freeing up space in shelters for other animals who need care.
