Alameda Elks Lodge to Host Annual Fundraiser

No need for a trip to Vegas — casino-style gaming and an absinthe bar are highlights of the annual Charity Night on June 16.

From an Alameda Elks Lodge press release

What’s big, red and black and stands 14 feet tall? The windmill sitting atop the Alameda Elks Lodge!

This display is to promote our annual Charity Night celebration being held on Saturday, June 16. This event, which is open to the public, will be raising funds for local children’s charities like Boys & Girls Club of Alameda, Girls, Inc. of the Island City, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and the Encinal High School Band as well as helping to fund college scholarship programs and veterans' programs.

Moulin Rouge on the Island is this year’s theme. Included in the $45 ticket price are casino-style gaming, cigar bar, can can and burlesque dancers, an absinthe bar, raffle and live auction, all in the name of charity. Doors open at 6 p.m.
