The Great Alameda Race from the Rotary Club

You may have seen “The Amazing Race” on television and longed to hustle allover the world yourself in search of adventure, fame, and fortune. Wait no longer,for the Alameda Rotary Club brings you a mini version right here on the island.The race around Alameda Point will start and end at Rock Wall’s party dome.

Participants will: Form teams of 2 – 4, compete in pursuit of cryptic clues, andperform fantastic (non-life-threatening) feats. Winners will receive special awardsat a barbecue post-race party. Non-racers are welcome to spend the afternoon at Rock Wall to enjoy food and drink, music, and a raffle. And, of course, to cheer on all the racers as they crossthe finish line.

Admission for all adults is $50; children under 12 are admitted free. All donationsare tax-deductible.The event will raise funds for three of Alameda Rotary’s favorite charitable causes: Alameda Community Grants, Rotary International’s World Community Services,and the Polio Plus campaign for worldwide polio eradication.
