Exploring the North Shore with Alameda Walks

Robert Perricone took these photos during a city-sponsored Alameda Walks tour of the Grand Marina and other North Shore spots on Saturday, Aug. 11.

Alameda Walks is sponsored by the City of Alameda, Pedestrian Friendly Alameda and Alameda Collaborative for Children, Youth and Their Families Alameda. Walks begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday mornings several times a a month and are free. No dogs, please.

Next up, on Saturday, Aug. 18: San Leandro Bay, the model airplane field and the golf course. Meeting in the Lincoln Middle School parking lot, Fernside Boulevard and San Jose Avenue. This walk will last about one hour, 15 minutes.
