Two Men Rob Alameda Bank at Gunpoint

Alameda Police are looking for two men who robbed the Citibank on Webster Street at gunpoint about 9:15 a.m. Saturday morning. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Police reportedly said one suspect entered the branch at 1526 Webster St. and sat at a desk briefly with a bank worker before his companion arrived and confronted a teller with a handgun, according to San Jose Mercury News. The first man then also brandished a firearm and both men fled with cash, police Lt. Ted Horlbeck told the News.

Witnesses say the robbers fled in a blue 1990s Honda Civic; both suspects are described as black men between 30 and 35 years old.

The first man to enter the bank stands between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs between 160 and 180 pounds and was wearing dark clothing. The second stands between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black leather jacket, a black beanie and black gloves.
