What's Open, What's Closed on Labor Day in Alameda

The holiday schedule for Monday, Sept. 2.

Here's the local holiday schedule for Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2:

City of Alameda: City administrative offices closed.

Alameda Police and Fire Departments will be responding to calls but administrative offices will be closed Monday.

Alameda public libraries (main library and all branches): All libraries closed on Monday. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Alameda Unified School District: Schools and administrative offices closed. 

Garbage service: Normal waste pickup schedule.

Alameda Animal Shelter: Closed.

Alameda County offices, Alameda County Superior Court: Closed.

BART, AC Transit: BART is running 24-hour service through Labor Day because of the Bay Bridge closure, with limited service after midnight. See details of BART's Labor Day weekend service here. AC Transit transbay service will deliver passengers to BART stations during the Bay Bridge closure; see details here. Local and transbay lines will follow the normal Sunday schedule on Labor Day.

Ferry service: San Francisco Bay Ferry is offering special service schedules to accommodate additional riders during the Bay Bridge closure through Monday, Sept. 2. Check the holiday weekend schedules here.

State of California offices, federal offices:
 Closed.

Banks: Closed.

Stores, businesses: Varies.
