Brian Selznick in Alameda

Caldecott award-winning writer and illustrator Brian Selznick has selected Alameda as a stop on his national book tour! Mr. Selznick will be introducing his new book, Wonderstruck, at the on October 26th, 6:00 p.m. (Is it perhaps because Alameda Historic Theatre looks just like a place where a Selznick novel would take place?).

Purchase one copy of Wonderstruck or The Invention of Hugo Cabret at ., 1344 Park St., and receive one free ticket.  Up to two additional tickets may be purchased for $10 each.

Readers of Selznick's novels are introduced to a brand new way of telling stories that includes great literary passages as well as museum-level illustrations.  Readers don't just read a Brian Selznick novel, they watch it as well.  Come be part of the magic!

A portion of every book sale will be donated to the Alameda Education Foundation.
