Felsen -- acoustic/electric indie rock show!

Alameda-based indie pop-rock band Felsen delivers a solid collection of songs rooted in the classic rock of yesteryear but aiming for the sensibility of a modern man.

They have performed at Slims, the Bottom of the Hill, the Red Devil Lounge, the Hotel Utah and the Starry Plough amongst other venues. They were honored by the deli magazine’s readers as Band of the Month in November 2010 and have been invited to perform at this year’s Noise Pop Festival.

Felsen members include founder Andrew Griffin on guitar and vocals, multi-instrumentalist Aaron Phillips, keyboardist Justus Dobrin, bassist Dominic Henri, and drummer Art McConnell. In the past year Felsen has shared the stage with Marcy Playground, One Eskimo and Camper Van Beethoven, and they are currently hard at work on a full length album to be released in the fall of 2011.

“Felsen’s music is both smart and sexy and is always catchy. It demands repeated listening. This is for Alt Rock fans of Wilco, Radiohead, the Flaming Lips, Beck AND fans of the classic sound of Pink Floyd, the Beach Boys and the Beatles.”
