FREAK SEASON - Meet photographer Deanne Fitzmaurice and writer, Joan Ryan

Meet the Authors -
Ever since Freak Season was featured in the San Francisco Chronicle sports section, its publisher, K&D Photography, has been inundated with queries from Giant's fans about purchasing it. This is to alert you that the book is being printed right now by Baker & Taylor and is available for ordering.

Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Deanne Fitzmaurice joined with award-winning Chronicle columnist writer Joan Ryan to create Freak Season: Behind the Scenes with San Francisco Giants Pitcher Tim Lincecum from Spring Training to the World Series (www.freakseason.com).

This photo book is an intimate portrait of two-time Cy Young Award winning San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum and his 2010 teammates' stirring triumph in winning the Giant's first World Series Championship since moving to San Francisco in 1958.
Lincecum allowed unprecedented access to Fitzmaurice during the 2010 season, commencing with spring training and culminating with her photographing him on the victory parade bus as it edged through the streets of San Francisco. Freak Season takes us into the clubhouse and the dugout, into Lincecum's home and hotel room. We see him during unguarded moments with teammates, friends, and family.
