Holiday Expo...Benefiting Alameda Food Bank

An Interfaith Holiday Expo will be held on Sunday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in s Social Hall.

The event is free, and a unique twist to this gift-buying opportunity is that attendees are being asked to bring non-perishable food or a canned good to donate to the . Attendees will receive a door prize ticket for their food drive donation. 

Over thirty vendors will be participating.  They are a combination of local artists, authors and home-based business owners including such companies as Lauratas, Scentsy Candles, CutCo Knives, Discovery Toys, Color Me Mine, Body by M, Arbonne, USbourne Books, Tupperware and Avon.

Confirmed items available to purchase include ceramics, Judaica, jewelry, Paris-themed items, toys, children's books, purses, handmade coffee sleeves, baked goods, cosmetics, greeting cards, handmade soaps and lotions, knitted items and art made from recycled items.   dditional items for sale include a wide selection of gift cards, Temple Israel's 90th Anniversary Cookbook and the 2011 edition of the popular Chinook Book (previously, EcoMetro Guide). 

The public is encouraged to attend this free event to not only start or complete their holiday shopping in one location, but to support the participating vendors, our economy and the Alameda Food Bank.
