Dodge Commercial Filming on Bay Farm Bridge Sunday, Expect Delays

Traffic will have two or three lanes most of the time, but will be stopped completely when the bridge is raised for filming.

Expect delays coming to and from Bay Farm Sunday.

The will be the site of the filming of a Dodge commercial between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

"The bridge is going to be closed in increments of 15 minutes," said Lucy Barraza, a permit technician for the City of Alameda. Lanes will be open for traffic during the bulk of the shoot, said Barraza, except when the bridge is raised.

The In Alameda blog has reported that the shoot is for the Dodge Sirius and is being shot by a company called Interrogate. 

"They have a traffic control plan and they’ve already talked to Caltrans and they’ve gotten permits form the county and the state as well as from us," said Barraza.

The crew will park on private property, at , on the main island side of the bridge, according to Barraza. "So their equipment won't be in anybody's way," she said. 

If the weather is bad, the shoot will take place next weekend. "They have an alternate date in their permit," Barraza said.  

Both the California Highway Patrol and will be on hand to direct traffic during the shoot.
