Visions for Vacancies: Old Blockbuster Video in the West End

What would you like to see at the former Blockbuster Video in the West End?

The former Blockbuster Video at the end of Webster Street has been vacant for over two years. What do you think should go here?

This spot is in the Neptune Plaza Shopping Center located at 640 Central Ave. where Webster Street ends. With a large vacancy left by Blockbuster Video and Raja Market, this shopping center has been pretty quiet. The Little Caesars that was here also moved out and up a few blocks on Webster Street.

Some good news, Bonfare Market is moving back into its old space. They were here years ago, then Raja Market took their space, then it closed, and now Bonfare Market is coming back. I’m not familiar with Bonfare Market, but hopefully it will bring some much needed foot traffic into this shopping center so it can some of its mojo back.

The broker has had inquiries from dollar stores to martial art studios, but so far there have been no serious offers. Because this shopping center has been vacant for so long the owner is very motivated. Like many former Blockbuster Videos, it’s a pretty good sized space at 5000 square feet, but it could be split into smaller spaces as well.
