Poll: Best Mother's Day Brunch in Alameda?

Taking your mom out for brunch is a Mother's Day tradition. In this week's Readers' Choice 2012 poll, we're asking you to vote for the best mom-friendly brunch in Alameda. (And in case you're not sure — Mother's Day this year is on Sunday, May 13.)

The nominees this week are mostly drawn from suggestions by Alameda Patch's Facebook page viewers. We know we've left out some favorites — Alameda is full of great places to eat, and we couldn't include them all.

So if we left out your favorite, start a write-in a campaign in the comments section below. (Alameda spots only, please.) A write-in could win! In the event of a tie, we will break it based on the comments, so please explain your choice.

And if you're heading out of town for Mother's Day, readers suggested a couple of off-Island favorites: Brix in Napa and Brown Sugar Kitchen in Oakland.

One reader even emailed us a Mother's Day "dream brunch" menu — Peet's coffee with beignets, followed by mango juice, heart-shaped pancakes topped with light maple syrup, bacon, apple-chicken sausages and an assortment of berries topped with whipped cream. A tad heavy on the cholesterol, perhaps, but hey, Mother's Day only comes around once a year!

Because our poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.
