Big Storm Coming Tonight, Expect More Wet Weather Through the Week

A series of storms is expected to soak Alameda from tonight through Saturday.

Despite the fact spring officially arrived this week, a series of storms is expected to soak the Bay Area, starting tonight and lasting through at least Saturday.

The National Weather Service appears confident in this particular forecast.

They say there is a 100 percent chance of rain on Wednesday with thunderstorms possible after 11 a.m.  Showers are expected Wednesday night.

The forecasters also say there is a 100 percent chance of rain on Thursday with showers on  Thursday night.

The NWS predicts a 40 percent chance of rain on Friday with more showers on Saturday.

There is a chance of showers on Sunday with partly sunny skies predicted for Monday.

NWS officials are issuing a flash flood watch for coastal and mountain areas, beginning this evening.
