Endeavor's Farewell Flight Over Alameda

Local photographer Les Chan captured these photos of the space shuttle Endeavor as it passed over Bay Farm Island and Alameda's main island Friday morning, piggybacked onto a modified Boeing 747 jet.

"It was awesome!" says Les Chan, who took these photos of the space shuttle Endeavor passing over Alameda and Bay Farm Island around 10:30 Friday morning.

Endeavour will now become a land-bound exhibit in the California Science Center in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park, the latest of the space shuttles to transition to civilian life, on museum duty.
