Possible Aircraft Noise This Weekend
Construction at Oakland International Airport means some commercial airliners may be taking off from the North Field runway.
Oakland International Airport (OAK) will be conducting airfield construction this weekend, June 16 to June 18, according to airport officials.
As a result of the construction, Runway 11/29 will be restricted from 8 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday, and again from 8 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday. Some air carrier planes may use the North Field runways during this period. If this occurs, aircraft may overfly residential areas and residents may experience unusual aircraft noise.
