13th Annual Father and Daughter Western Hoedown Dance Party

Registration closes January 24, 2014.  Sign up early as this event sells out fast!

The Alameda Recreation and Park Department (ARPD) and Girls Incorporated of Island City (GIIC) co-present a Western Hoedown Dance Party as this year’s theme for the 13th Annual Father/Daughter Party.

The event is for girls currently in kindergarten through 5th grades and their fathers (or other favorite male role models). The cost is $25 per couple and $15 for each additional daughter. Complimentary admission tickets are available; please contact the ARPD at 510-747-7529 for an application.

Pre-registration is required. Registration ends January 24, 2014 or until the event sells out. Register in person at ARPD, 2226 Santa Clara Ave., Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed on Fridays; or register online at www.arpdeplay.com beginning Dec. 3rd.

This event will include music, square and line dancing, art and craft projects, hors d’oeuvres, and a special memento for the girls. “This event is a great opportunity for a girl and her dad, or a special male figure in her life, to spend the night together socializing, dancing, and making memories that last a lifetime. It is also a chance for men to bond with each other and to share moments with their daughters in a fun and positive way,” said Pam Williams, Alameda Island Kids (a service of GIIC) Program Director.
