Asian/Pacific Islander Townhall Meeting to discuss California Prison Realignment and Re-entry Services

Alameda County is receiving a large amounts of funding to address California Prison Realignment and the County Supervisors are hosting townhalls to discuss the broader implications for each district. Supervisor Wilma Chan insisted that the meetings in her district gather feedback from the Latino and Asian/Pacific Islander (API) communities.

Supervisor Chan's Office along with various community groups are hosting a API community Townhall Meeting on Wednesday, December 4th 5:30 to 8pm at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center.

The issue has implications on public safety, education, the juvenile and criminal justice systems and a series of other important policy areas. Please help us spread the word so we can get some good dialogues.
