64th Annual Convention of California Co-Op Preschools
Co-Op Nursery Schools: Be part of a community where everyone works together to make sure every child thrives!
The 64th annual convention of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools, hosted by the East Bay Council, takes place March 22–23 and brings together an exciting collection of experts to explore a wide range of ideas and skills for educators and parents of preschool-aged children.

There are more than 35 workshops taking place during the convention, including:
• Empowering Our Girls
• Teaching Through Storytelling
• Nature: Your Child's Other First Teacher
• Living History in the Classroom
• Puddle Jumpers: Rainy Day Fun
• Temperaments in the Hundred-Acre Wood
In addition to these workshops and presentations, the convention also features:
• Keynote speakers: David Berg on "Making Math Real" and Dr. Kathy Masarie on "How to Raise Responsible, Caring Citizens"
• A progressive dinner allowing attendees to visit three Bay Area co-operative preschools
• An exhibit hall at the convention center filled with tools and toys for preschool educators
• A silent auction featuring a variety of wonderful baskets and specialty items, donated by our supporters and member schools
• On-site childcare available throughout the convention provided by the teachers of El Cerrito's Peter Pan Nursery School
The theme of the convention is "Nurturing the Six Dimensions," based on a philosophy that encourages communities to pay attention to all areas children's and parents' well-being:
• Physical and Mental Health
• Quality Early Education and Development
• Social-Emotional Development
• Spiritual Foundation and Strength
• Safe and Nurturing Environment
• Economic Stability
The convention is open to parents and teachers of preschool-aged children. You do not have to be involved in a cooperative preschool to come to this convention and learn about promoting children's well-being.
Any profit from this conference goes directly to the Tommy Bianchi Scholarship, which helps provide a preschool experience to children who might not otherwise be able to afford one.
