Designed to give the student an introduction to firing glass onto metal,
we will experiment with fun and accessible techniques that do not
require highly specialized tools, skills, materials or space to work in.
Topics include torch safety, pinch and pickup, working with fire scale,
sgraffito, designing with color. No experience is necessary. Don’t
forget your clear safety glasses, dust mask and dress for a mess.
The class fee is $70, plus an $18 kit with class materials. Students must register in advanced - online, in person, or on the phone at (510) 337-1203. Students receive a 10% in store discount 4 weeks prior to 2 weeks after the class.
