Friends of the Parks Foundation Meeting

Friends of the Park Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit Foundation formed to assist the Alameda Recreation and Park Department through a number of fundraising activities. Included among these was the publication and sale of the Alameda at Play, a book which chronicles the history, acquisition, and development of Alameda's Park System. The foundation also assists in staging the Alameda Run for the Parks, a 10K Fundraising race each August. The group's mission statement is to "improve the quality and increase the availability of recreational activities and programs in the City of Alameda and to maintain the parks therein."

Friends of the Parks meets quarterly at 6:00 p.m. in Room 360, City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue. Anyone interested is invited to attend.
