Alameda's Newest Resident America's Cup Team
Prada Luna Rossa this week after last weeks Tragic loss of Olympic medalist Andrew Simpson of Artemis Racing Alameda first team to the area . Luna Rossa held a Press conference this week after meeting with the four teams with the special Committee put together by Golden Gate Yacht Club and Americas Cup Race committee .
The Commette made up of six expert sailors and designers will investigate the accidents of Artemis racings AC72 as well as Oracles Team Usa accident of last October . Primarily a fact finding and recommendation group safety its primary goals . Artemis racing was practicing when they capsized ,As of now each team is responsible for safety and of there teams on the water on unofficial practice days . This is the way its always been . This may now change after last weeks loss .

Aslo stating they wanted certain safety vessels and medical staff on the water something that is already in place during the Actual race and official practice days .
Luna Rossa must first get by there main nemesis Emirates Team NZ . in the Louis Vuitton Cup thought to be the favorite . They both share the same designer of there boats . Both teams tested together in Auckland New Zealand all NZ summer . a long way from Italy .
In a surprising move yesterday Luna Rossa launched there AC 72 yesterday and filled the Bay with hope and excitement again stopping traffic and entire city sailing from there south base all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge .Just what the Cup and the city needed a ray of hope . Even thou it had been recommended to all the teams to wait a week to return to water while the commission just gets started .
Prada has in a way really shown there intentions win the Louis Vuitton Cup .
