Storm Troopers 73 are cycling on Saturday, Sept. 24. See details below on how you can help them reach their fundraising goals.

Members of Alameda Boy Scout Troop 73, Venture Crew 512 (a girls' scouting group) and their families — calling themselves the Storm Troopers 73 — are hitting the road Saturday, Sept. 24, to raise funds for research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

As of Friday afternoon, the group was within a few dollars of its fundraising goal of $7,350. To help them reach or exceed the goal, go here.

The group is taking part in the Napa Valley Ride & Walk to Defeat ALS to honor Tom Kittleman, a cousin of one of the families.
