Alameda's own fireworks show?

To see the SF fireworks me and some of my housemates went to the base.  It was fun but so far away.  I mentioned to my fiance that Alameda should have it's own fireworks show.  I would pay for that, like a kickstarter campaign to fund a fireworks show in the estuary or the inlet of San Leandro bay.

I'm posting this to see if there's any one else who might like this idea.

And of course also to hear the nay-sayers explain to me how it's impossible financially, legally, environmentally...

Just throwing it out there! Like a firecracker. (:
