Dogs on Crown Memorial Beach

The meaning of "No dogs allowed" is pretty clear to me. However, there seems to be some confusion among some dog owners who stop and appear to read the signs, and then proceed onto the beach anyway. 1) It does not mean everyone else's dog but yours--it applies to your little Poopsie, too. 2) It does not actually mean "feel free to let your dog run off-leash on the beach." 3) It also does not mean "let your dog defecate on the beach where others will be walking, swimming, and playing and leave it there." I hope this clears up any confusion to the "No Dogs Allowed" rule. In all seriousness...I don't know the exact reason(s) the rule was put in place, but if you take issue with it, please contact the Park Department for further explanation. I'm sure it's frustrating to dog owners for their beloved pets to be barred from frolicking on the beach, but, again, take it up with the parks department. Now, about those LOUD parties on the beach past the 10 pm park curfew....
