Please Curb Your Dog
I am posting this at the risk of incurring the wrath of dog owners.
In recent weeks, I have witnessed the following in Alameda.
A woman enters a bar with her dog. She seats the dog next to me at the bar and allows the dog to drink from a beer glass.
A woman has her dog in a local bookstore. The store is carpeted. The dog is next to me continually scratching and licking itself.
An unknown person runs his dog through my yard knocking down plants.
I don't blame the dogs, but I do blame the dog owners. Having a dog does not entitle one to bring it everywhere. It certainly does not entitle one to endanger local businesses by loss of license. Your neighbor's property is not a public dog park.
Please behave responsibly and do not give other dog owners a bad name.
