Alameda - Haunt Your House! Halloween house decorating contest and canned food drive.

Did you know come Monday, October 29th starting at 7pm through Tuesday, October 30 at 11:59pm you can vote for your favorite Alameda – Haunt Your House! entry by emailing your pick to vote@alamedahaunts.com?

It’s true! The judges will be awarding Most Haunted House, Most Original Entry, Most Halloween Spirit and Most Cans Collected in support of the Alameda Food Bank, but we’ll also be giving away the People’s Choice Award – but that vote depends on you!

Entries to the 2012 contest and canned food drive will be posted on our website as of noon on October 28. We then encourage all Alamedans to take a drive, bike or walk and check out all our frighteningly fabulous entries – then vote for the entry you like best.

there's a house on san antonio in the gold coast that has an awesome display in their front yard. i hope they've entered the contest! i love halloween!

The gold coast is such a popular area at Halloween time, I think maybe some folks are somewhat reluctant to enter the contest and draw even more attention to the neighborhood, unfortunately. I hope the folks on San Antonio do enter, along with more of their neighbors. It's such a unique community event - and think of all the cans they'd collect for the Food Bank!!
