UPDATE: Alameda Police Ask for Public's Help to ID Shoplifter

Surveillance photos show a woman suspected of shoplifting more than $1,000 worth of merchandise

Update, Dec. 31, 2013, 9:40 p.m.: The Alameda Police Department reports that the suspected shoplifter has been identified.

The Alameda Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspected shoplifter.

The woman pictured in the surveillance photos above is believed to have stolen more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from a local beauty supplies store earlier this month, according to an APD bulletin.

If you believe you can identify the woman or if you have other information relevant to the theft, you are asked to contact Detective Craig Vreeland at (510) 337-8345.
