Alaska Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Oakland Airport Monday Morning

A bomb scare on Flight 342 from Seattle

A flight made an emergency landing at the Oakland International Airport this morning just before 8 a.m.

The flight, Alaska Airlines 342 from Seattle, landed after a bomb scare.

A Fox News Report indicates that someone gave a handwritten note to an airline employee in the San Francisco International Airport saying there was a bomb aboard Flight 342.

Several news sources are reporting that U.S. Marshalls met the plane and removed two passengers.

The 132 other passengers and crew members were taken to a holding area and re-screened.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office and the Transportation Security Administration found no signs of a bomb on the plane or in the
luggage, Oakland airport spokeswoman Joanne Holloway
said.

The passengers and crew were cleared and allowed to return to the
plane to retrieve carry-on items.

The FBI and the TSA are investigating the threat.
