Crime Advisory: Burglar Accessing Homes Through Unlocked Windows

Alameda Police have reported that several daytime residential burglaries have occurred where a suspect has gained access into homes, taking mostly jewelry and electronics.

Several daytime residential burglaries have occurred in the areas of Willow Street to Regent Street and Otis Street to Pacific Avenue. The suspect has gained access into homes through unlocked windows. The property targeted by the suspect has primarily been jewelry and electronics.

Information has been obtained on a possible suspect. He is described as a black male in his early 20’s, 6 ft. tall, slender build, clean cut with black short-braided hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, while carrying a red backpack.

Before leaving your homes, remember to secure all doors and windows. If you have a burglary alarm system, remember to set it.
