Update: Alameda police reported at 6:45 p.m. that a man suffering from dementia, who had been missing for much of Monday, had been found.

The Alameda Police Department is looking for a 72-year-old man who suffers from dementia last seen this morning.
James "Jim" Ross was last seen driving away from his residence in the 3200 block of Liberty Avenue in a blue 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the California license plate 4XZS927 around 10 a.m., police said.
Ross is described as a white male standing 6 feet and 1 inch tall with red hair and blue eyes weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown plaid "Pendleton" style shirt and blue jeans.
Ross has no cellphone but is believed to have identification with him, Lt. Joe McNiff said. Ross was a former driver for a beverage distribution company and his route ran through Alameda and Jack London Square, McNiff said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Alameda Police Department at (510) 337-8340.
