Photos Released of Armed Robbery Suspects Who Attacked Man Outside Police Station

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying surveillance video photos of suspects who attempted to rob a man at gunpoint outside 7-Eleven and then chased after him to the Alameda Police Station where they attacked him outside.

Alameda police are asking for the public's help in identifying surveillance video photos of suspects involved in an attempted armed robbery and beating of an Alameda man last week.

On March 3 APD dispatch received a report of an injured man in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue. According to police, he was struck in the head with a handgun when he refused to give the suspects money.

Police said he tried to run off but was chased by the suspects. According to the Oakland Tribune, the victim ran from the parking lot toward the police station nearby where he was followed by the suspects — three men and two women.

Investigators were able to obtain surveillance video photos of two possible suspects involved in this incident. The suspects were seen driving a 2008 to 2009 black, four-door Ford F-150 and a 2008 to 2009 silver Chevy Trailblazer.

Police are asking the public to not attempt to apprehend these individuals yourself.
