Police Arrest One Driver in Two-Car Crash on Willie Stargell Avenue

The arrested man was driving a car reported stolen from Oakland, police said.

A two-car crash near the exit from the Webster Street Tube shut down traffic on Willie Stargell Avenue for a considerable time Wednesday afternoon, an spokesman said.

The driver who caused the accident, a 25-year-old male parolee from San Leandro, was arrested on suspicion of multiple violations, APD Lt. Joe McNiff said. The man was driving a BMW sedan that was reported stolen in Oakland Wednesday afternoon.

The two occupants of the second car, a man and a woman, were treated at Alameda Hospital for minor injuries and released, McNiff said.
