Police Log: Armed Robbery at Dave's Liquor Store, Storage Burglaries and Armed Robbery on Taylor Avenue

Incidents highlighted here were recorded in the Alameda Police Department log from June 24 to 26. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

Monday, June 24

  • 7:22 a.m.: A hit-and-run felony was reported on the corner of Buena Vista Avenue and Willow Street. 
  • 9:25 a.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 2100 block of Central Avenue.
  • 11 a.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 1300 block of Grove Street. A suspect used a victim's debit card to make multiple purchases in another state.
  • 10:33 a.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 1200 block of South Loop Road. 
  • 12:19 p.m.: Burglary was reported at 1 Singleton Avenue. A suspect cut a lock to a storage unit and removed loss.
  • 11:19 a.m.: Residential burglary was reported on the 3300 block of Fernside Boulevard. Suspect forced entry into victim's residence with unknown tool, took loss and fled.
  • 11:55 a.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 1000 block of Pearl Street. Suspect used victim's personal information to make charges in Texas.
  • 12:22 p.m.: Burglary was reported on the 1800 block of Webster Street. Suspect gained entry to storage unit by unknown means and took loss.
  • 4:25 p.m.: Residential burglary was reported on the 20 block of Souza Court. Suspect forced front door of residence open, selected jewelry, coins, purse, and a camera from the bedrooms and fled with the loss.
Tuesday, June 25
  • 10:07 a.m.: Fraud was reported on the 1400 block of Webster Street. Suspect tricked victim into making a fraudulent utility payment for business.
  • 11:51 a.m.: Auto theft was reported on the corner of High Street and San Jose Avenue.
  • 11:56 a.m.: Burglary was reported on the 1800 block of Webster Street. Suspect gained entry into victim's locked storage unit by unknown means and took items without permission.
  • 11:59 a.m.: Vehicle burglary was reported on the 2100 block of South Shore Center. Suspect broke car window and took loss.
  • 12:32 p.m.: Burglary was reported on the 1800 block of Webster Street. Suspect entered public storage locker and removed valuables.
  • 3:47 p.m.: A bicycle accident and injury were reported on the corner of Webster Avenue and Park Street. 
  • 3:15 p.m.: Vehicle burglary was reported on the 400 block of Roth Lane. Suspect used rock to break window and take items from inside car.
  • 7:31 p.m.: Grand theft from vehicle was reported on the 22oo block of South Shore Center. 
  • 9:24 p.m.: Commercial robbery was reported on the 1400 block of Webster Street (Dave's Liquor Store). Suspect pointed a handgun at employees and demanded money from the cash register.
  • 11:29 p.m.: A 34-year-old man was arrested for carrying fireworks. He was contacted as the driver of the vehicle he was in was pulled over on a traffic enforcement stop. The arrested man was found to be in possession of fireworks during a probation search of cited driver's vehicle.
Wednesday, June 26
  • 8:48 a.m.: A residential burglary was reported at 15 Souza Court. Suspect gained entry into victim's residence and stole a laptop and jewelry.
  • 7:55 a.m.: Auto theft was reported on the corner of San Antonio Avenue and Walnut Street. 
  • 12:17 p.m.: Residential burglary was reported on the 1300 block of Park Avenue. Suspect attempted to enter victim's residence through an open window. When confronted by victim, suspect fled the area by foot.
  • 5:25 p.m.: Robbery was reported on the 700 block of Taylor Avenue. Two suspect approached a victim as he walked from a restaurant to his vehicle. One suspect pointed a handgun at victim and demanded his personal belongings. Both suspects proceeded to punch victim repeatedly until he lost consciousness and fell down. Both suspects selected loss from victim and fled.
