Police Log: Assault With a Deadly Weapon, Shoplifters and Robbery

An assault with a deadly weapon, several shoplifters and a robbery are reported in this week's crime blotter.

The following is a collection of weekly police activity prepared by the San Ramon Police Department. The document contains only items of note. The log contains incidents that occurred from October 18  to October 24.

Thursday, October 18
Mental illness, collisions, fight, arrests and vehicle burglary

1:21 a.m.--Mentally ill person hospitalized in the area of Alcosta Boulevard and Market Place.
8:06 a.m.--Collision reported in the area of Bollinger Canyon and North Gale Ridge Road.
9:50 a.m.--Report taken for a fight in the 9800 block of Broadmoor Drive.
12:06 p.m.--Collision reported in the 11600 block of East Branch Parkway.
3:50 p.m.--Arrest made due to suspicious circumstances in the 400 block of Montgomery Street.
6:04 p.m.--Shoplifter arrested in the 2400 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard.
7:38 p.m.--Report taken for vehicle burglary in 3100 block of Crow Canyon Place.
11:16 p.m.--Arrest made during a traffic stop in the area of Crow Canyon Road an I-680.

Friday, October 19
Vehicle burglary and arrests

8:34 a.m.--Report taken for vehicle burglary in the 1100 block of Brookcliff Circle.
12:05 p.m.--Suspicious subject arrested in the 1000 block of Market Place.
3:22 p.m.--Arrest made during a security check in the 12500 block of Alcosta Boulevard.
6:43 p.m.--Arrest made during a disturbance in the 7000 block of Bollinger Canyon Road.

Saturday, October 20
Arrest during a traffic stop, collision and burglary

1:32 a.m.--Arrest made during a traffic stop in the area of Crow Canyon Road and I-680.
10:03 a.m.--Collision reported in the area of Bollinger Canyon Road and Watermill Road.
12:08 p.m.--Collision reported in the area of Ames Way and East Branch Parkway.
2:19 p.m.--Report taken for burglary in the 100 block of Summerset Court.

Sunday, October 21
Arrests and vehicle burglary

7:16 a.m.--Arrest made during an investigation in the 100 block of Promontory Area.
6:57 p.m.--Arrest made during a traffic stop in the area of Deerwood Drive and Deerwood Road.
10:07 p.m.--Report taken for vehicle burglary in the 2600 block Bishop Drive.

Monday, October 22
Stolen vehicle found, assault with a deadly weapon and shoplifter arrested

10:57 a.m.--Stolen vehicle recovered in the 100 block of Cedar Pointe Loop.
2:37 p.m.--Report taken for assault with a deadly weapon in the 12500 block of Alcosta Boulevard.
4:15 p.m.--Shoplifter arrested in the 2600 block of Bishop Drive.

Tuesday, October 23
Stolen car, welfare check, burglaries and a warrant service

6:26 a.m.--Report take of a stolen vehicle in the area of Del Mar Drive and Pine Valley Road.
12:02 p.m.--Welfare check conducted in the 100 block of Rainbow Ridge Way.
1:46 p.m.--Report taken of vehicle burglary in the area of Talavera Drive and Valdivia Circle.
2:58 p.m.--Warrant service in the 100 block of Canyon Woods Loop.
7:29 p.m.--Report taken of residential burglary in the 2700 block of Paige Way.

Wednesday, October 24
Arrests during traffic stops, battery, collisions and a hit-and-run collision

1:06 a.m.--Arrest made during a traffic stop in the area of Crow Canyon and San Ramon Valley Boulevard.
1:57 a.m.--Report taken of battery in the area of Bollinger Canyon Road and Harcourt Way.
8:38 a.m.--Collision reported in the area of Main Branch Road and South Monarch Road.
4:54 p.m.--Hit-and-run collision reported in the 8100 block of Briar Oaks Drive.
8:54 p.m.--Arrest made during a traffic stop in the 21000 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard.

How about a little more details for the public on the police blotter. Doesnt say much as currently being written. Almost a complete waste of time without specifics or details.

I agree, more information can be provided without creating confidentiality issues. It would be interesting to know what people are actually arrested for...ie.....possession of drugs....a gun....whatever.

what the heck is happening to our city???!!! More info would be great.....does this all involve teenagers? is assault with a deadly weapon a gun or a sharp stick...golf club whatever???

@G: Thanks for your comment. We do not get much information on the logs currently being released to us- if you look back in our archives around January or before, you can see what they look like as we get them. This is about as much info as we can offer but we do follow up on anything in the log that sounds important and do follow up stories if they are warranted.
