Police Log: Burglar Climbs Through Window, Wakes Resident

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11

Warrant arrest — Police arrested Conrado P. Howard, 32, after a report of a disturbance at the South Shore Center shortly before 2 a.m. Howard had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants, police said.

Residential burglary — Someone cut a window screen and climbed through an open bedroom window of a home on Tideway Drive during the predawn hours. The intruder apparently made enough noise to wake a resident asleep in the bedroom. The burglar jumped back out the window and fled when the resident awoke, police said.


Theft
— A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked on Mecartney Road.

False police report — Police arrested one person on suspicion of filing a false police report in connection with an incident that resulted in a lockdown at Island High School and Ruby Bridges Elementary School on Wednesday.

Public intoxication — Police arrested a 30-year-old woman on suspicion of public intoxication after she was seen sitting in an alleyway off Santa Clara Avenue shortly before 11 p.m.
