Police Log: Robbery and Pistol Whipping, Indecent Exposure

Recent crime reports from the Alameda Police Department.

Incidents highlighted here were recorded in the Alameda Police Department log Oct. 28-30. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

MONDAY, OCT. 28

Auto thefts — A vehicle was stolen from the 1100 block of Regent Street. Another vehicle was reported stolen from the 600 block of W. Tower Avenue.

ID theft — A Sherman Street resident reported that someone used their credit card information to purchase various items from Arizona.

Forgery — Someone used four fraudulent checks to purchase items at Target, 2700 Fifth St.

TUESDAY, OCT. 29

Vehicle recovery — A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on Atlantic Avenue. Police checked it out and discovered the vehicle had been stolen in Union City and the license plates attached to it were stolen from San Leandro.

Indecent exposure — A caller reported that a man in a car on Santa Clara Avenue fondled himself while watching the victim's children. The man flad when the victim tried to get his license plate number.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 30

Vehicle burglary — A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle in the 2400 block of Blanding Avenue.

Garage burglary — A thief stolen a remote control from a vehicle in the 2900 block of Windsor Drive, then used it to open the garage and steal a bicycle.

Stolen vehicle — A vehicle was stolen from the 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue.

DUI arrest — A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a collision on Central Avenue about 10 p.m.

Armed robbery — A man was pistol-whipped and robbed by a suspect who jumped out of a vehicle near the corner of Bruzzone Drive and Buena Vista Avenue about 11 p.m. The robber then escaped in the vehicle, whch was driven by a second person.
