Police Log: Strong-Arm Robbery on Blanding, Stolen Skateboard at AHS

Lock your bike! Two unlocked bicycles were stolen from outside restaurants on Webster St. and Park St.

Incidents highlighted here were recorded in the Alameda Police Department log Oct. 8-9. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

TUESDAY, OCT. 8

Stolen skateboard — A skateboard was reported stolen from a locker at Alameda High School. An iPad was stolen at AHS in a separate incident reported later in the day.

Stolen bike — Someone cut a cable lock and stole a bicycle from outside Alameda Marketplace, 1650 Park St., in the late afternoon.

ID theft — A Fernside Boulevard resident reported that someone opened credit and debit accounts in their name and used the cards to make purchases.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 9

Suicide — An apparent suicide was reported on Alameda Avenue.

ID theft — A Pease Court resident reported that someone obtained their banking information and used it to make purchase.

Stolen bikes — In apparently unrelated incidents, unlocked bicycles were stolen during the afternoon from outside two Alameda restaurants: Nation's Giant Hamburgers, 1432 Webster St., and Jack In The Box, 1257 Park St.

Strong-arm robbery — At least two assailants pushed a female victim to the ground in the 2400 block of Blanding Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m. Police said the robbers hit the victim several times before stealing her purse and fleeing.
