Police Log, Tuesday, April 3: Stolen Vehicles and Bike

Incidents highlighted here were recorded in the Alameda Police Department log on Tuesday, April 2, 2012. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

Auto theft arrests – At 2:11 a.m., in the 2000 block of Constitution Way, Alameda police stopped a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Oroville and arrested the two occupants. Ronald Earl Coker Jr., 52, was arrested on suspicion of auto theft, driving on a suspended license and a probation violation. Frank Lynn Kellar, 48, was arrested on suspicion of auto theft.

Stolen vehicle – A vehicle was reported stolen from the 700 block of Eagle Avenue at 5:46 a.m.

Petty theft – At 6:04 a.m., a debit card, checkbook and camera were reproted stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Shoreline Drive. Police said the thief reached through a partially open window to unlock the vehicle.

Stolen vehicle – A caller reported at 8:11 a.m. that someone had stolen a vehicle from the 700 block of Pacific Avenue.

Drug arrest – An Alameda man, 40, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. The arrest took place at 10:24 a.m. in the 1200 block of Santa Clara Avenue.

Destroy these, please – In two separate incidents late Tuesday morning, Alameda residents turned over military flares and a deceased husband's gun for destruction.

Bike theft – Someone climbed onto a balcony in the 900 block of shorepoint Court, cut a padlock and stole a bicycle. The theft was reported at 1:31 p.m.

Stolen vehicle – A vehicle was reported stolen from the 700 block of Eagle Avenue at 9:50 p.m.
