Police Release Photo of Suspect in Two Walmart Robberies

The same man is thought to have robbed stores in Fremont and San Leandro.

Police in San Leandro and Fremont are looking for Melvin Landry, Jr., pictured above, who is suspected of involvement in the armed robberies of Walmart stores in each of those two cities.

A Walmart on Davis Street in San Leandro was robbed by two men, at least one of whom was armed, on Dec. 17.

On Thursday, Jan. 3, two men robbed the Walmart at 40580 Albrae St. in Fremont at gunpoint before fleeing in a black BMW with large chrome rims.

Police now think Landry may have been involved in both robberies.

Fremont police have obtained a Ramey warrant for his arrest in the amount of $310,000.

Landry is known to frequent Oakland and Sacramento.

Dominque Martin was determined to be involved in the Fremont robbery and was arrested the following day, police said. 

Now authorities are asking for public assistance to locate Landry.
