Man Killed in Oakland Shooting Monday Night Was Alameda Resident

A 25-year-old Alameda man was shot and killed outside a Walgreens
store in East Oakland on Monday night, a police sergeant said this morning.

The man was shot multiple times in the parking lot of the
Walgreens at 3434 High St. shortly after 9 p.m., Oakland police Sgt. Randy
Brandwood said.

The man was taken to a hospital and later succumbed to his
injuries, police said.


Brandwood said police are in the early stages of investigating the
homicide and have not yet identified a suspect.
